Jan 11 2006 - Youth Magazine to Promote Development Opportunities. The Caribbean Centre of the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) is working together with the St Francis Community Developers in Berbice, Guyana, to produce a youth magazine which will document best practices in youth development. It is hoped that the magazine will also inspire and help young people and youth workers to draw lessons from it.

 

Nov 19 2005 - Female condoms project launched in Region VI. SFCD in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) last week launched a female condoms pilot project in Region Six.

 

April 16 2005 - St Francis targets orphans and vulnerable children in Berbice. St Francis Community Developers in collaboration with UNICEF on Wednesday launched a project to provide support to orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Region Six. President of St Francis Alex Foster said $6 million had been budgeted for the first year of the project, which will be implemented over the next five years.

 

Nov 18 2004 - Clive Lloyd bats for Berbice Community Project. Clive LLoyd becomes the patron of SFCD's five-year project (2005-2009) to establish a Community Empowerment Complex and Developmental Village in Port Mourant, Berbice.
